The Hyundai Palisade is the biggest Hyundai ever built, and the boldest crossover they’ve ever produced. It stands out like nothing else, with style fit for a king and performance made for a true driver. It’s squared off front end is accentuated by huge lights which accent the vehicles upscale and functional design, this SUV will replace the company’s current three-row crossover – the Santa Fe XL. A 3.8-liter V6 connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission powers the vehicle, driving 291 horsepower to the wheels. Front wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is optional on the entire suite of trim levels.
The quality of the Palisade’s ride won’t let you down. The journey will be firm and smooth, with steering feedback that is precise and perfectly weighted. Although it’s uncommon for most large vehicles, all input is responded to quickly and crisply. This response time made the entire vehicle easy to maneuver whether at slow speeds in a confined area, or out on the open road.
The vehicle is three inches longer than the Santa Fe XL, and is wider with four more inches between the axels. It’s interior is much more spacious, especially for rear occupants in the second and third rows. Invite family and friends, because this large SUV crossover seats a total of eight passengers with a second-row bench seat, or optional second row captain’s chairs for a total of seven.
To move the second row with ease, and giving access to the third, a simple one-touch system is employed which makes navigating the interior a breeze. Power-folding third row seats are also optional for easy access to the SUV’s cavernous cargo area.
The EPA has confirmed that the 2020 Hyundai Palisade at 19 MPG in the city, 24 on the highway, and 21 when combined with optional all-wheel drive – matching rivals in its class.
The vehicles price ranges from about $32,000 up to $50,000 depending on the trim level selected and many driver assist features such as adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance, as well blind spot and lane-keep assist systems.
